ECU cloning
Transfer supported vehicle-specific data from a compatible original ECU to a suitable replacement. Exact identification and data condition matter.

ECU Logic UK helps garages and vehicle owners with ECU cloning, Stage 1 remapping, mobile diagnostic investigation and replacement module support across Sunderland, Newcastle, Durham and the wider North East.
We assess the vehicle, original module, donor compatibility and required programming route before work begins. Mobile and service-area business only — customers do not visit a public workshop.
Primary services
Cloning, remapping and diagnosis solve different problems. Each enquiry is assessed so the proposed work matches the vehicle, module and evidence available.

Read ECU cloning requirementsCalibration changes for suitable, healthy vehicles using standard hardware. Compatibility, current faults and vehicle condition are checked first.
Check Stage 1 compatibilityEvidence-led testing for no-start, limp-mode, electrical and communication faults. A fault code is a starting point, not a parts verdict.
Mobile diagnostics across SunderlandAdditional module services
Original and donor identification, data-transfer assessment and guidance on possible vehicle-side coding or adaptation.
TCU cloning and supportReplacement support where configuration, security data, coding, bleeding or calibration may be part of the correct route.
BCM and ABS replacement supportFile identification, software-number comparison, supplied-read comparison and checks for obvious structural problems where possible.
ECU file and software assessmentWork route
Diagnostic testing, supported OBD reading or writing, some coding and final checks may require the complete vehicle. Safe access, a suitable location and stable electrical supply are considered before booking.
Some ECUs and modules need removal and direct access for reading, backup, data transfer or recovery. A matching connector alone does not confirm donor compatibility, and later vehicle-side coding or adaptation may still be required.
Assessment process
Confirmed pricing
Initial evidence-led assessment. Parts, repairs and additional diagnostic time are not automatically included.
Final price depends on ECU type, donor compatibility, communication, access route, data condition and vehicle-side requirements.
Stage 1 remapping, TCU, BCM, ABS, ECU-file and programming preparation work is assessed individually.
For garages
Garages can send a full scan, symptoms, module labels and available reads for compatibility and route assessment. Unless otherwise agreed, the garage remains responsible for fitting and final vehicle testing.
ECU support for North East garagesService area
Mobile diagnostic, cloning, suitable remapping and trade enquiries are assessed in advance. Location, travel and whether vehicle, bench or garage facilities are required are confirmed before booking.
Mobile diagnostics, ECU and module assessment, suitable Stage 1 remapping, and trade support.
Vehicle location, travel, compatibility and the appropriate mobile or bench route are reviewed first.
Availability, travel and the work route are confirmed after receiving vehicle or module details.
Trust through process
Original and donor details, software, access method and available data are assessed before a result is suggested.
Proof of ownership or garage authority may be requested for work involving vehicle security or replacement modules.
ECU Logic UK does not advertise unlawful emissions bypass, security bypass or mileage manipulation. MOT, emissions and roadworthiness requirements still apply.
Common questions
No. Codes can be set by low voltage, wiring, poor power or ground, network faults, sensors, actuators or software. Diagnosis should follow test results rather than the module name in a code description.
No. Correct compatibility and a complete, usable original data set are important. Some vehicles still require coding, adaptation or vehicle-side testing.
Existing faults should be diagnosed first. Remapping must not be used to hide engine, turbocharger, fuel-system, gearbox, DPF, cooling or sensor problems.
